Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is an internationally popular martial art. Based on the principle of physics and leverage, size does not matter when combating against a stronger one. Thus, BJJ is an effective form of anti-bully & self-defense against unexpected encounters in students’ daily lives. With DEFGROUP’s years of experience in teaching martial arts to kids, our junior BJJ program will prepare your loved ones with physical movements, basic techniques and series of gentle drills. We want the best for your kids, and our goal is to boost the qualities of humility, discipline, teamwork, respect and tenacity!
Why Kids BJJ?
Most of martial arts for self defense rely on “dirty techniques” that involve a lot of striking vital organs, may it be eye-gouge, hitting the groin, and often cause either severe damage, or worst , nothing at all. With the anti-bullying program, our little warriors will learn to neutralize often aggressive and bigger kids by applying grappling principles of Jiu-Jitsu. We don't encourage kids to hit a bully, if occasion arises, it is better to deal with it in an assertive firm manner, Jiujitsu focus on incapacitating an opponent without actually harming him/her. During classes, children learn how to get out of danger by manuevering opponent without causing injury.

DEFGROUP's affiliated brand Shanghai Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (SHBJJ) has been devoted in kids BJJ education for over a decade . It is one of the first Kids BJJ club in the country. For many years, we have put a lot of time on the course research and development. Currently, the courses for children in our Shanghai and Hong Kong academies are in full swing. In addition, our junior warriors have achieved countless excellent results in domestic and international competitions.
