Ferasse started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2007 and joined the SHBJJ team in 2008. He received his black belt in 2019 by Tony Eduardo Lima and Stanley Tam.

At SHBJJ, Ferasse has been leading classes since 2011.

In his class, you will usually warmup with some takedowns techniques or some light cardio exercises that incorporate Jiu-Jitsu based moves while listening to details on fundamental concepts. After a section on techniques, classes are usually completed by a section of specific sparing where the techniques of the day are practiced live.

As a competitor, Ferasse was the China Open Blue Belt champion 2010 under 80kgs and silver medalist in the open weight category.

As a brown-belt, he won in 2017 the China Open in his weight and in the open weight category, in 2019 he placed silver in his weight category and bronze in the open weight.

“I was looking for an effective combat sport and heard about Jiu-Jitsu. After my very first experience with the art, I knew that I found what I was looking for.

However, what I didn't know back then was that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu would become a passion.

BJJ is far more than just the most effective and most efficient combat sport on the planet, it is also and foremost a martial art. A martial art that taught me through the years how to constantly improve myself, how to run my business, how to raise my children and simply how to be a good person. To me like to other millions of people around the planet, Jiu-Jitsu is right up there: among the best things that ever happened to me.”
